બેલ્ટના ક્ષતિ અને મિસએલાઇન્મેન્ટ ટાળવા માટે પુલીઝ અને આઇડલર્સ પર જમા થયેલ મટીરીયલ સમયે સમયે દૂર કરવું જોઇએ.
અવિરત ચાલુ રાખવા માટે વિ-આકારમાં ખુણા પર જોડાયેલ હોટ વલ્કેનાઇઝીંગ કમ્પાઉન્ડનો ઉપયોગ કરો અથવા બેલ્ટ એક બાજુ અથવા કેન્દ્ર-બહાર પર ચાલશે. જો 25% વધુ મજબૂતીની આવશ્યકતા હોય તો જ ફાસ્ટનર્સનો ઉપયોગ કરો, અથવા તેની આવરદા ઘટશે.

How to Install Belt At a Glance

Once the roll of belting has been transported to the point of installation, it should be mounted on a suitable shaft for unrolling and threading onto the conveyor. Conveyor belting is normally rolled at the factory with the carrying side out.

Consequently, in mounting the roll the belt must lead off the top of the roll if it is being pulled onto the troughing or carrying idlers, but it must lead off the bottom of the roll if it is being pulled onto the return idlers. When pulling the belt onto the conveyor or radial stacker, the roll will turn opposite the direction indicated by the arrows on the crate. The drawing bellows illustrates a suitable method of mounting as well as leading off the top of the roll for pulling onto the troughing idlers.

In some cases, such as in mines, where head room does not permit maneuvering a roll, the belt may have to be pulled off the roll and re-fed. Extreme care should be exercised to see that the loops have large bends to avoid kinking or placing undue strain on the belt, and no weight should ever be placed on the belt when it is in this position. Another method of handling belting under such conditions is to lay the roll on a turntable with a vertical spindle.

Rubber Belt Roll Handling Method

Reels or rolls should never be dropped from a freight car, truck, or other means of conveyance since their weight will break the packaging and may damage the belt. Reels or rolls should always be rolled or provisions should be made for hoisting them. For hoisting, a bar is passed through the hole in the center of the roll. Chains or cables looped around the bar ends should be provided with a spreader above the roll to avoid damage to the belt edges.

Conveyor Belts Installation Method & Information

Pulley Size of head 400mm & tail 315mm min be used upto 5.5mm inner thickness of 3/4ply belt and not less than min. diameter suggestions else ply separation & slippage problem can happen.
Materials Build-up on pulleys & idlers should be removed periodically to avoid belt damage & misalignment.
Endlessing be done in V-shaped using Hot Vulcanizing compound joined squarely, else belt will run to one side or off-center. Use fasteners only on 25% more strength belt,else life will reduce
Water Sprinkling for HR grade belts (using thicker cover) be done at tail pulley for better life & never stop belt loaded with hot matl.
Unhampered Production even if Blemishes or patches are visible at times, nothing to interfere performance. Similarly, Wrinkles are also not inner ply fabric used but liner cloth & cellophane paper impression marks of belt curing press, be left unattended.
Edges mfd are Cut for NN&EP fabric and moulded type for Cotton.
Joints in fabric ply at times are used of usually higher strength.
Belt Rating of 3ply Nylon fabric min.(type315/3) upto 800 kg/m3 material bulk density for max. 800mm belt width & min. 4ply NN (strength630/4 KN/m)upto1500kg/m3 mbd for max. 1200mmW be used though carrying capacity, speed, etc factors be considered.
Cover Grade of M24 with min. top 3mm & 1.5mm bottom for abrasive materials, for hot materials >65C upto120C temp 4x2mm min BLAZE (HR) & for matl upto 150C 6x2.5mm min. BETAPLUS(SHR) be used.
Size Variation (+, -1.5% Width; +, -10% Thickness;+5%,-1% Length) as per mfg tolerances should be acceptable.
